In 2013 Malala Yousafzai was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, and although she did not win, she was nominated again in 2014. Malala won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014, becoming the youngest person to recieve the award. Here is the speech the humble, inspiring young girl gave.

Gul Makai was Malala's pseudonym when she was blogging for BBC in 2009.  Malala used this name so she could speak about her life under the Taliban takeover, and their threats to deny girls an education, while keeping her identity a secret. However her identity was revealed by December of that same year.
